Natural disasters are one of the things that the humans are not culpable, but in some cases we are the responsible of that.
For example our constructions are not the best (in the
case of El Salvador) because we used to build houses in every place we can.
In this blog I going to talk about a situation; “what
would I do if I lose everything in a natural disaster?”
Well, to start I pray to God and give him the thanks
because I’m alive, then I’ll search for help, trying to find authorities,
paramedics or people who provide any kind of help.
Try to talk with the local government to convince them
to give the necessary supplies, like medicine, water, food, a shelter or a place
to stay safe.
I try by myself to search for food, and supplies to
help my family and me. But there’s an important thing: “what about other people
near to me”. Well for them I’ll try to look for some necessities that they could
have, for example any injury, or if I have enough supplies I can share with
them. In the case of the injury, try to
find an emergency kit, maybe to give them some stitches or maybe a pain killer.
But there are many scenarios, and different ways to affront
them.
For example in
a flood: It may be so difficult to affront it, and without being negative it
almost can be difficult to survive, because for me is one of the worst natural
disasters ever!
In that case, I would try to look for the city hall
help, to give us the supplies and maybe they can evacuate us to the mountains
of highest places to stay far away from the waters, then, evaluate the cost of
the material things that I had lost and try to work hard to have some of them
again, for example re built my house.
In the case of an earthquake, If my house fall down
and all the houses in my neighborhood too, try to look for the hurt people and
help them...
As a conclusion, survive is a God’s gift and it depends of us how we use it. And to get all again you have to work hard and be active, don’t stay in a corner just thinking, make things by yourself, try to find solutions and always stay with your family, ‘cause they can help you to survive and give you reasons to overcome!
